How We Choose What to Recommend
Our goal is better lives for guinea pigs, so commissions never decide what we recommend. Here’s how we handle product content:
- Research first. We compare products against guidance from veterinarians and animal welfare organizations, not just manufacturer claims.
- Real use where possible. When we’ve used a product with our own guinea pigs, Pumpkin and Spice, we say so, and we share what worked and what didn’t.
- Clear labels. We separate manufacturer claims, independent care standards, and our own experience, so you know where each piece of information comes from.
- Safety matters more than sales. We won’t recommend products we believe are unsafe for guinea pigs, even if they pay a commission.
