We share researched guinea pig care information and our own experience, but we can’t diagnose or advise on individual health problems. If your guinea pig stops eating, is having trouble breathing, is injured, or seems unwell, please contact an exotic-pet or guinea-pig-savvy veterinarian right away. Guinea pigs can decline quickly, so prompt care matters.
About Rescue and Adoption
Guinea Pig Haven isn’t an operating rescue yet, so we aren’t able to take in or rehome guinea pigs at this time. Building toward a rescue and sanctuary is our long-term goal, and we’re documenting that journey as we go. If you need to rehome a guinea pig, we recommend contacting a local guinea pig rescue or humane society.
